The Development Cooperation Office of the Embassy of Belgium in Maputo is looking for an Assistant to the Chair of the Energy Sector Donor Working Group.
The assignment would involve one to (maximum) three days work per month, and last for the period that Belgium chairs this donor Working Group.
The objective of the Energy Sector Donor Working Group (ESDWG) is to ensure convergence, coordination and alignment of development partner assistance and approaches. The Group also promotes close dialogue with the Government of Mozambique and relevant energy sector institutions, thus contributing to improved quality of the sum of interventions by donors in the sector. Its membership is composed
of development partners active in the energy sector. The working group meets at least four times per year.
The tasks of the assistant to the chair would mainly consist of:
Preparing group meetings (both logistics and content);
Elaborating and distributing minutes of meeting;
Facilitate the flow of information among working group members;
Assisting the chair in preparing the annual meeting with the Government of Mozambique and other sectoral meetings.
The assistant should:
Speak, read and write fluent English and Portuguese;
Be able to work independently;
Possess a basic knowledge of the Mozambican energy sector;
Have relevant experience in working with donor representations and Mozambican administrations.
