Assistant Materials Engineer/Materials Technician (Gauff) Tempo Inteiro

An international Engineering company is seeking an Assistant Materials Engineer/Materials Technician in Maputo.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidate

• Must have 10 years experience or 5 years experience and a National Diploma or higher Qualification;
• 3 years major road experience on SANRAL or similiar projects as Assistant Resident Engineer or Senior Materials Technician;
• The candidate must also have experience in asphalt paving, concrete works and structures and must have strong knowledge in test methods per TMH1 and SATCC.

Job Specification

The candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assistance to Managing the Quality Control aspects of the construction process;
• Assistance to Managing of the acceptance control processes of Lot submissions;
• Monitor the operation of the site laboratory and report to the Senior Materials Engineer on proposed improvements;
• Reviewing of materials testing results for acceptance purposes and auditing of acceptance control and correlation testing.
