Malaria Consortium Mozambique is currently recruiting a Country Operations Manager to join our team in Maputo/ Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organizations HR, helping and creating organizational and program budgets in collaboration with the Project Managers. Provide managerial leadership and oversight for operations, personnel, contracts, subcontracts, cooperative agreement, negotiations, and administrative support services. Ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations of the Mozambican government.
Reporting to the Governing Board and serving as a member of the Management Team along with the Governing Board, Project Managers and Country Technical Coordinator. This position’s primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization’s operational functions.

- Operations Leadership and Administration;
- Supervision and Support to the Team;
- Policy/Procedure Oversight;
- Ensure that internal controls are sufficiently placed to safeguard assets;
- Assist with development of budgets;
- General Coordination.
Person Specification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Operations, Logistics or Procurement department;
- Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate a team of logistics staff;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the wider team of experts within Malaria Consortium;
- Significant experience in organizational work, including human resources, accounting, administrative and data management procedures and practices;
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills;
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and practices;
- Knowledge of management and business principles;
- Good problem analysis, assessment and communication skills;
- Judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills;
- Excellent planning, organizing, time and work management;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
