Disbursement Agent (Beira / Mozambique) Tempo Inteiro

General:

The Disbursemnet Agent reports to the Chief Accountant and performs all of the duties of the lower level within this series as required, processing Information – Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Detail of the specific tasks:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits;
2. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers;
3. Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures or policies;
4. Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints;
5. Greet customers entering establishments;
6. Performing for people or dealing directly with the public, this includes serving customers;
7. Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates – Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person;
8. Getting Information – Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources;
9. Communicating with Persons outside Organization – Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources;
10. Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships – Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time;
11. Assists in the maintenance and preparation of local internal controls;
12. Cross trained to provide assistance as necessary in the areas of payroll, procurement, expenditure of funds, and budget preparation;
13. Performs more advanced case processing duties in addition to performing accounting duties.

General Qualifications Required:

• Previous experience in Disbursement would be a plus;
• Fluent spoken and written English level;
• Familiar with computer usage for using Accounting Systems.

• Highly motivated individual with strong leadership, people and problem-solving skills;
• Good of computer literacy skills.
