Our Customer is a mining concession in Chirodzi, Tete province and intends to recruit to its workforce due to its development:

Electrical Engineer – For Its Substation

Activities and Experience Required

In addition to the requirements in section listed above, the applicant must demonstrate work experience of at least three (3) years in the following areas:

• Operation in substations with capacity of 16 MVA with transforming in the range of 220/33 kV or another;
• Operation and maintenance (O&M) of advanced numerical relays, logic control, SCADA system, RTU and knowledge of data transmission through the power lines;
• O &M knowledge of 220KV or 132kV transformer, circuit breaker SF6, CVT, CT, insulator & DC and a 400V AC systems;
• Working knowledge of protection relays, measuring systems, substation interface requirements with other end connected, electric equipments, SCADA, RTU, PLC and power transformers;
• Knowledge of electrical safety and environmental requirements for the operation of a substations;
• Knowledge of troubleshooting before equipment failures;
• Reading and interpretation of wiring diagrams, as well as the implementation of a new system of control and protection circuit;
• Identifying and planning for the acquisition of equipment;
• Maintenance of electrical networks;
• Ability to lead work teams and propose the necessary training modules.

It is desirable that the candidate has:

• Coordination skills with the system operator of the Electricidade de Mozambique Company EDM;
• Be registered in the order of engineers;
• Good level of English communication;
• Multicultural-Relationship work
• Work Independently and under pressure environment;
• be prepared to reside in Chirodzi, Tete (basic condition);

Requirements

• This is a senior position and the candidate must be able to operate a substation with 16 MVA transformers, medium-voltage and low-voltage network (MT and BT);
• The candidate must have obligatorily: at least a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum experience of 5 years working on high voltage (AT), medium voltage (MT), low voltage (BT) and substations;
• Exemplary leadership and management skills, Strong internal and external networking building
• Creative thinking, good a convincing others of own ideas, Self motivated, disciplined and service orientated, Strong interpersonal skills, Ability to work independently, Result orientated/driven,
• Fluent in English Excellent communication skills, Cross-cultural and diversity awareness.
