RHDC Consultoria e Serviços Lda, is a rightful Mozambican company of consultancy in Human Resources that operates in the areas of Job Agency, Recruitment and Selection, Training, Competence Evaluation and Development, Temporary Work.

Our Customer is leading manufacturer of aluminium, which deals with manufacture industry in Bahrain, with offices in Mozambique -Maputo. Due to its development, intends to recruit:

Head of Maintenance (Mechanical & Electrical Section)

Primary Purpose:

• To maintain all machineries electrically & mechanically in a good working order, utilizing the manpower and material efficiently and economically as directed by the Manager in line with the maintenance schedule

Accountability:

• The Head of Maintenance-Mechanical and Electrical is accountable to the Manager to achieve his primary purpose with a high quality and productivity.

Supporting Tasks

• Must have a good technical knowledge of machineries and equipments in the plant;
• Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental & safety regulations during the performance of plant maintenance activities;
• Must be familiar with the capabilities and weaknesses of his working staff and initiate training needs if necessary;
• Ensure the continuous induction of Moral and Motivation initiatives to ensure high productive and motivated teams;
• Develop a preventive maintenance plan to optimize equipment reliability;
• Ensure the performance of daily preventive maintenance activities;
• Responsible for timely efficient implementation of the plan (commissioning) and undertakes any amendment to the plan if necessary with the right communication to relevant sections/department;
• Ensures that the departmental objectives and performance targets are met during installation and commissioning of the machines;
• Ensure the availability of personnel, materials, tools, instruments and documents whenever necessary required for all electrical & mechanical works;
• Oversee operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines are functioning very well;
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to detect faulty operation and to advise his subordinates to solve the same;
• Develop service level agreements with his/her internal customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliver of services;
• Maintain equipment records specifying their history, modification, preventive maintenance cycle, spare parts replacements, etc.

Requirements:

• University degree in Mechanics & Electrical;
• Experience: Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in business management in international companies;
• Entrepreneurial, goal-oriented and solid problem solving capability;
• Exemplary leadership and management skills, Strong internal and external networking building;
• Creative thinking, good a convincing others of own ideas, Self motivated, disciplined and service orientated, Strong interpersonal skills, Ability to work independently, Result orientated/driven;
• Fluent in English, Excellent communication and presentation skills, Cross-cultural and diversity awareness, Ability and willingness to travel extensively cross-border.
