Job Description
Mining Professional with core technical skills in Mining Operations and production. Strong Leadership and management skills to handle mine operations independently, effectively and efficiently, with good control to manage shift operation manpower (approx. 130 in shifts)
Responsibilities
Responsible for the safety of the men and machinery under his control;
Implementation of good practices in the mine operation and production;
Responsible for the targeted production with low cost parameters for diesel, spares and explosives;
Responsible for the maximum utilization of available equipment;
Deployment of the equipment;
Dump Management;
Rainy season action plan and its implementation to arrest the outside water into mine;
Control on Drilling and blasting operations by using best practices for effective drilling and blasting to optimize mine production;
Achievement of production with low diesel consumption Norms;
Maintenance of records for the individual equipment for its utilization;
Diesel consumption statement for each equipment;
Environmental management plan;
Mine planning for the maximum production with the given resources;
Co-ordination with the Mining Engineer for the mine requirements;
Achievement of maximum production of excavators and dump trucks per hour;
Implementation of good loading practices for trucks to achieve maximum truck carrying capacity;
Co-ordination with the all the shift mining staff;
Maintenance of cordial relations with the supporting departments;
Suggestion and implementation of cost reduction methods for working in the mine;
Implementation of good practices for the avoidance of accidents for the machinery or men;
Trip-sheet shall be maintained for each equipment for its monitoring.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills)
Degree or Diploma in related field;
10-15 years on-site Mining experience;
Experience in MiningManagement, Operation and Production;
English (writing and speaking), good IT skills (Excel);
Good Communication Skills in Portuguese (Preferred).
