Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (Heading) Tempo Inteiro

Heading Moz is searching for a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (M/F) to be based in Maputo for a client, a NGO with a project in the health field.

The purpose of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager position is to take overall charge of the project related M&E activities; guide/train staff at all levels and prepare the training and supervision programs. This includes, establishing Monitoring and Evaluation systems; design effective data collection instruments; manage the collation, input, analysis and usage of M&E data for tracking project progress and improving performance; develop a research agenda, design research methodologies and execute operations research focused on learning lessons from project best practice; as well as, ensure that project staff have the necessary M&E capabilities to effectively implement the project.

Requirements

• Master degree in Population Sciences, Public Health, or related Social Science area or;
• Graduate University degree in basic Sciences with additional diploma or other post graduate qualifications;
• At least 8 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in designing and implementing Monitoring and Evaluation systems and formative or operations research for health, child welfare, or related programs in developing countries;
• Experience as a Monitoring and Evaluation focal person for major donor Grants will be an added advantage;
• Excellent computer skills with competency in statistical packages such as SPSS, Epi-info;
• Demonstrated positive record in working with Donor, Clinical, Community and Government entities;
• Proficiency in verbal and written English;
• Strong community based skills including experience with participatory methodologies and appreciative inquiry and end user impact surveys.
