Solidarités International launches external and internal recruitment for the position Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator for Pemba.
Solidarités International (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO which, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters, responding to their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the number one cause of death in the world, SI interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Currently present in Mozambique since 2019, SI carries out emergency/ post-emergency programs in the WASH sector in the Cabo Delgado region.

Within the Mozambique mission and under the supervision of the Head of Mission/ Deputy Head of Mission, the MEAL Coordinator designs the MEAL action plans of the mission, in accordance with SI’s operational framework, and makes sure it is disseminated, understood and implemented by the mission staffs. Note: The responsibility for some monitoring and evaluation of program activities will remain the primary responsibility of the program teams. MEAL Coordinator will ensure the proper tools are developed and are made available to the field teams.

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator reports directly to the Deputy Country Director (DCD) -Programs.
The MEAL team is made up of 15 employees with varying profiles i.e. Program Managers, Activity Managers, Team leaders and MEAL officers spread across the two bases in Cabo Delgado and line managed at the base level.
Meal Co provides technical support to the MEAL team and s/he works in close coordination with support services coordinators and various technical advisors.
