National Maintenance Manager (PEP)

Purpose of the Position

• To manage the total Maintenance function for all company assets and infrastructure across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-up and manage a standardised maintenance program for all company assets and infrastructure;
• Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to provide the necessary maintenance solutions cost effectively and coordinate the entire process;
• Effective management of maintenance budgets;
• Visit stores and other company premises to monitor and proactively determine maintenance needs;
• Management and maintenance of company fleet (National);
• Manage and coordinate the installation of fixtures and fittings (F&F) in stores;
• Manage a maintenance team, to ensure the optimum functioning of store equipment, which includes POS equipment, Generators, etc;
• Provide on the ground support to help desk with regards to efficiencies and quality control of suppliers

Job Incumbent Requirements

• Grade 12/ Secondary school;
• Tertiary qualification would be an advantage;
• PC literacy – MS Word, Excel;
• 8 years’ experience in a maintenance and project management environment, 2 years in a managerial role;
• Willingness to travel extensively within the country;
• English: Speaking, Reading and Writing;
• Portuguese: Speaking, Reading and Writing Ability will be a strong advantage;
• Core skills needed: Leadership, Attention to detail; financial acumen; analytical ability; technical maintenance; planning & organisation; project management; problem assessment; strong relationship building; effective communication.
