Operations Manager (Heading)

Heading Moz is searching for an Operations Manager (M/F) for a client working in the field of Oil and Gas, to be based in Maputo.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

Heading the operations department and report directly to the Managing Director;
Manage and maintain the terminal of Maputo to meet the quality and safety standards set forward in the company policies and manuals;
Foster respectful behavior between and towards all stakeholders of the terminal and the environment;
Motivate terminal staff to provide the expected service by the Customers and optimize the terminal operations and behavior of the terminal personnel to achieve maximum HSSEQ objectives, operational efficiency and profitability for the Company.

University degree or a superior engineering education (Mechanic, Electricity, Industrial, Chemical, Petroleum). Proven post scholar certificates of petroleum, chemical, HSSEQ and/or HR related training programs are an asset;
Minimum 5 years of experience, preferable 10 in a related function.
Good understanding of the terminal business and the key drivers for the technical, operational and HSSE activities of an independent liquid tank storage business;
Experience in an international and multi-cultural background;
Knowledge in redact and manage budgets and periodic;
Open mindedness and positive attitude with strong communication interpersonal skills;
A responsible and safety conscious team leader and team player;
Familiar with international technical standards (ISO, OSHAS, API, NFPA ASTM, etc) and the national standards related to the tank storage activity;
Well established computer skills, more specifically the Microsoft® and the Lotus Notes® applications;
Proven knowledge of managing and training people is considered positive;
Beside Portuguese, being fluent in English written and spoken is imperative.
