We are recruiting a Business Development Officer for our client to be based in their offices in Maputo.
ROLE OF THE JOB
A business development officer is responsible for new business development, making brand building strategies, identification of potential market segments and marketing. He/She is also in charge of revenue generation through new account development and key account management.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A business development officer might include tasks like:
Broker engagements and relationship management;
Service levels management;
Research and build relationships with new clients;
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the organization;
Plan approaches and pitches;
Participate in pricing the solution or service;
Attend industry functions;
Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate;
Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet targets;
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels;
Collaboration with the underwriting and claims department;
Marketing Communications;
Market Intelligence;
Market analysis & planning and new product development;
Crafting business and partnership proposals;
Competitive analysis and monitoring;
Any other duties as directed by AGM operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a business field.
