We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to support our high end enterprise level IT database systems.

Your Responsibilities

Managing, administration and maintenance of large enterprise databases such as Oracle and SQL;
Development and implementation of procedures for ensuring integrity of databases;
Maintenance the physical DB, application server, and load balancer architectural design;
Installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance the clustering of the databases, application servers
and load balancers;
Resolving database performance issues, replication and other distributed data issues;
Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS;
Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act;
Perform quality assurance and stress testing during non-business hours on systems in order to benchmark
system/application or database performance;
Perform database maintenance and recovery, including backups, exports, image copies, reorganizations,
database tool evaluation, documentation;
Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly;
Capacity planning;
Communicating regularly with technical staff, application support staff and operational staff to ensure
database integrity and security.

Your Profile

Experience in managing databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL), particularly must be highly experienced in database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and high availability configuration;
Deep knowledge of main data manipulation languages and principles of database design, high availability technologies such as clustering, DBMS scripting;
Problem-solving and good analytical skills;
Work to tight deadlines under pressure;
Willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology;
Understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act;
Very good knowledge of English (written and verbal);
Driving license is preferable.
