Responsible for all activities regarding and related to the management of the Plant, such as manufacturing, maintenance, distribution and its workers work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures;
Assure Plant production goals;
Cost management, margin and productivity improvement;
Assume P&L responsibility including the development and achievement of budgetary and cash flow goals to ensure the long-term viability of the plant;
Coordinate product-making formulations (recipes and product development);
Knowledge of production processes;
Develop and strive for a well-trained and motivated staff;
Confer and coordinate with other departments and Regional Director the plant’s demands such as recruitment and selection, purchasing of raw materials, etc;
Estimate quantities of foods for processing required and supplies and equipment needed;
Responsibility for establishing all shift production schedules;
Schedule and conduct plant meetings;
Ensure daily production plans are met, identifying improvement areas within the line
processes and recommending solutions;
Responsible for the product quality control for the plant;
Recruit, direct, coach and mentor staff to ensure performance targets are being met;
Maintain a clean and safe plant as well as a positive community relationship;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Higher degree in Management/Business or other relevant area;
Minimum of 15 years experience of which at least 8 years at a managerial position;
Experienced of industrial plant management;
Strong leadership and organizational and planning skills;
Health and safety knowledge for consumer goods;
Knowledge of SOP (Standard Operation Procedures);
Analytical and problem solving skills;
Strong leadership profile;
Good interpersonal e communication skills;
Fluent in either English or Portuguese. Both is an advantage;
