Plan and analyse all possible construction methodologies and recommend the best options to the Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site;
Interpret construction drawings and study the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs;
Manage directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the civil work groups at site;
Submit site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required;
Support the Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the civil groups at site;
Estimate, prepare and assign the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all civil works prior to execution;
Ensure that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards;
Ensure that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards;
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects;
Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions;
Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel;
Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel;
Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects.
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering;
Proficiency in Portuguese and English;
Knowledge of FIDIC Procedures;
Proficiency in MS Project;
Experience in Quantity Surveying, Quality Control and Works Supervision.
