Substation Engineer (Human Capital Moz) – Tete Tempo Inteiro

 One of the company with mining concession in Tete Province, is seeking to recruit for its staff, two Substation Engineers to be based in Tete. This is a position for operation and maintenance engineer for 220KV Substation at Tete, Chirodzi, Mozambique, having sound knowledge of protection relays and metering, interface requirements with other end connected substation, electrical equipment, SCADA, RTU, PLC, Power transformers.

Mainly job requirement shall be as below:

• Candidate shall have Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and working experience of 2-3 years in EHV substation of 132KV and above;
• Experience in operation and maintenance (O&M) of advanced numerical relays, control logic, SCADA system, and RTU & Power line carrier communication;
• Knowledge of O&M of 220KV or 132KV transformer, SF6 circuit breaker, CVT, CT, Isolator & DC and 400V AC system;
• Knowledge of safety and environmental requirement for operation of 132KV/220KV air insulated substation;
• Knowledge of Trouble shooting the problem during failure of equipment;
• Reading and interpretation of drawings as well as implementation of new control and protection circuit;
• Identify the Spare requirement and planning and purchasing;
• Experience in maintenance of 220KV / 132KV transmission network within plant;
• Experience in leading the operator’s team under him and proposing training module.

Is desirable for the candidate to be:

• Ability to coordinate with system operator (EDM);
• Registered at Order of Engineers;
• Good knowledge in Ingles communication;
