Warehouse Manager (RHDC)

Our Customer is an International Company and it is a leading agri-business operating from seed to shelf in 65 countries, supplying food and industrial raw materials to over 13,800 customers worldwide. In its team of 23,000 employees has built a leadership position in many businesses including cocoa, coffee, cashew, rice and cotton, with offices in Mozambique. Due to its development, intends to recruit the following positions: Warehouse Manager.

Purpose

• The Warehouse Manager is responsible to lead and support the Stores/ WH Team and to manage and control inventory so that the customers receive the right quantity and quality materials at the right time.

Quality Requirement

• To control and monitor inventory so that customers receive the right quantity and quality materials at the right time;
• Zero stock losses by implementing appropriate inventory management controls;
• Correct and sufficient stock levels are maintained throughout the year;
• Inventory storage and data are correct and accurate;
• To analyze and solve situational and operational problems to improve production;
• To empower, encourage and support team members to solve situational/ operational problems;
• To engage team members and customers on Situational /operational problems and action plans;
• To compile and issue stores documentation and reports (stock availability, stock adjustments, stock take, etc.) for effective management and control of inventory;
• To ensure that documentation/reports are sent out timely and as per line manager request;
• To write and update work instructions so that current work instructions are available for reference and audit purposes;
• Up to date work instructions are available for all WH activities, disposal of waste/material, housekeeping, environmental and safety;
• To ensure that work instructions are understandable, accurate and accessible;
• To enforce and maintain safety and housekeeping standards (as per EOHS Act) so that accidents are minimized;
• To ensure the working area conforms to SHE regulations (OHS Act, work instruction, equipment specifications);
• To ensure that safety reports and checklists are up to date;
• To ensure that incident statistics and accident reports are accurate;
• To organize and document disposal of waste and obsolete materials/product so that sufficient storage space is available, assets are maximized and waste/material losses are minimized;
• Rand value return on obsolete material and waste is maximized;
• To ensure that waste and material are disposed of, as per work instruction and in an environmentally safe manner;
• To ensure availability of resources to effective delivery/issuing of materials/products;
• To ensure issues and receipts are processed accurately and timeously;
• To encourage, assist, support and coach team members so that the team members are capable and competent to achieve and exceed team targets, required performance and future workplace challenges;
• To communicate operational information to team members so that team members know, understand and have access to relevant information to perform work activities effectively;
• To manage team relationships so that team relations are healthy and strong to support excellent performance;
• To develop and monitor team goals against store specific benchmarks so that team members agree on, understand and work towards the same outputs;
