The Good Neighbors Mozambique (GNMOZ) is looking for Accountant Officer (AO) based in Pemba.

Main Duty ＆ Responsibilities

• Preparation of all financial documents; Budget Request (BR) and Expense Voucher (EV), Bank transfer, Quotation comparison, Travel request in timely manner on DOCSWAVE system;
• Submit weekly financial report to project manager;
• Coordination on Procurement and Logistic; collect necessary documents from supplies;
• In charge of focal point (Pemba) at implementing partner’s (IP) Pemba office as liaison between GN and IP for joint project implementation;
• In charge of focal point between GN’s Maputo head office and GN’s Pemba field for good communication and joint project management;
• Compliance with financial and accounting rules and regulations;
• Assist project manager for future funds; field assessment etc.;
• Assist partner organization in case of needed for activities’ operation; joint monitoring of critical activities;
• Assist in preparing media materials for visibility

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education in relevant area;
• Familiarity with Cabo Delgado province (Pemba and Metuge districts) *knowledge of local language is
  an asset;
• Ability to perform complex tasks and work independently and proactively;
• Experience in administration will be an advantage;
• At least 2 years’ experience with an NGO;
• Working knowledge of English and Portuguese, highly preferably;
• Experience working in emergency programs;
• Experience of working with Japan Platform Fund (JPF);
• Experience with Good Neighbors is an asset;
• Good coordination skill (as a secondee assigned at partner’s office);
• Good communication skill (liaison between Maputo HO office and Pemba field office).

Languages Required

• Fluency in English, Portuguese (both spoken and written).
