In Mozambique, Good Neighbors International (GNI) works in partnership with the government and other partners like UNICEF to ensure that more children have equitable access to early learning and complete primary education, acquiring basic literacy and numeracy competencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Administration Officer (ADO)
Reporting to: Project Manager
Principal Location: Sofala, Mozambique
How can you make a difference?
Purpose of the position:
The position holder will act as the point of contact for all employees for administrative support. The successful candidate will track, manage and maintain an inventory of organization assets. He /She will coordinate international travel using an online platform ensuring cost effectiveness and efficiency. The position holder will be responsible for the control incoming and outgoing correspondence and documents, coordinating the administrative, financial and logistics activities of the unit, organizing the files and managing information.
Major Responsibilities:
Asset Management
Track and maintain an updated assets register
Track and provide a monthly a report on cost analysis for all staff travel and accommodation
Office administration
Coordinate and maintain updated records to ensure proper management of leased property
Oversee the management of services providers including office courier, stationery, transport and conferencing
Performs local procurements of commodities, in collaboration with Programme Manager and purchasing team
Prepare and issue tender documents
Convene the procurement evaluation committee and facilitate the review and evaluation of procurements as appropriate and draft evaluation reports
Initiate review and payment process for vendor invoices
To qualify as ADO you need…….
· Education: Be a qualified individual with education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
Technical Education Medium in Business Administration/Management, Office Management or a related study,
· Years of experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in administration and office management, Experience with start-up of an office,
Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with vulnerable communities
Working experience at least 2 out of 4 years with UN or other international development organization is an asset.
· Competencies: Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as negotiation skills. Demonstrated experience managing organization assets.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates good time management skills and able to prioritize.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars a must Self-directed and able to work without supervision
