Country Logistics Manager (Heading) Tempo Inteiro

Heading Human Resources Mozambique is searching for Logistics Manager (M/F) for Mozambique to be based in Chimoio – Beira or Maputo.

The role of the Country Logistics Manager is to manage all logistics, warehouse, distribution and related activities in order to ensure the effective, efficient and safe storing and distribution of all company products. In addition, to manage Asset Care (Fleet and Trade Services) to ensure optimization of company assets and to manage risk (Security and Occupational Health & Safety).

Responsibilities

• Optimize Warehouse, Hauling, Distribution & Logistics management;
• Ensure effective glass management (glass returns from trade, reverse logistics, glass & crates sorting);
• Authorise write-offs of all breakages in WH as per CoA;
• Raise RFA for glass destruction;
• Review the current operation and plan for future operation related to manpower, and equipment requirements;
• Constantly review the current WH layout and re-arrange if necessary;
• Ensure route optimisation is done;
• Ensure fleet mix is optimal;
• Manage third party contracts (Hauling, FLT’s, Security, Direct service, delivery trucks, Third party distributors);
• Ensures Asset Care (Fleet and Trade Services) are managed;
• “Ensure adherence to maintenance plan and balancing between scheduled maintenance and distribution; Ensure fleet audits are done as per schedules and that CAP’s are addressed and Ensures cooler availability”;
• Project Management Skills;
• Ability to integrate and manage various projects within the business and complete assigned projects;
• Proven experience in managing initiatives that fundamentally change an operation’s business model. Ensures effective and healthy adjustment of all organisational resources to the required transformation.

Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Commerce or Supply Chain;
• Diploma in Logistics/Warehousing/Road transport;
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Logistics/ Distribution environment. Additional Sales experience an advantage;
• 5 years operational experience in a LWD managerial role in the FMCG environment;
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
