The Federal Headquarters (HQ) are based in Berlin, Germany. Johanniter International Assistance is the operational unit for humanitarian aid, development co-operation and emergency relief, implementing and supporting projects in Health, Nutrition, WASH as well as Food Security & Income Generation worldwide. Overall job purpose
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Livestock Livelihoods Officer (LLO) is responsible for the daily technical planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of food security and livelihoods activities and for ensuring proper coordination with stakeholders. The Livestock Officer’s role is crucial in supporting provincial and district authorities and assisting families to manage and oversee the well-being of animals through livestock extension services. An ideal Livestock Officer should demonstrate a passion for animals, dedication, and a genuine interest in improving livestock welfare. The Livestock Officer will be Johanniter’s focal point on the ground, helping to coordinate and collaborate with local authorities when necessary.
