Develop effective corporate communication strategies;
Enhance leadership vs employee engagement through promotion of internal communication campaigns;
Design institutional presentations and videos;
Coordinate and launch company newsletters by choosing the most effective media of communication to ensure that a clear message is captured and reaches the wider audience;
Protect and enhance the corporate brand and reputation through proactive communication and engagement with key stakeholders, employees, partners and communities;
Translating Syrah’s Vision and Values into communication platforms, tools, materials ad-hoc efforts that drives employee and other stakeholder engagement;
Managing production of employee newsletters including drafting stories, gaining approvals, sourcing photos, distributing newsletter, etc;
Draft and maintain communications policies, protocols, guidelines and standard processes;
Identify target audiences and key messages to support achievement of objectives;
Capacity building including communications knowledge management and networking;
Lead the company towards a stronger culture of direct communication between levels;
Conduct Portuguese and English Lessons for improved communication capabilities;
Translate key training documentation and key messages that facilitate the upskilling of personnel.
Social Performance:
Integrate the Local Development Agreement into the Communications strategy framework for a strong program delivery of all initiatives;
Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the external public;
Develop, implement, maintain and monitor a sustainable external communications;
Repurpose internal content for external use in community engagement strategies.
Health & Safety
Promote Twigg’s Health & Safety initiatives towards a ‘zero accident & zero injury’ goal;
Drive the establishment of a robust safety culture where employees & communities are fully aligned with the standards to follow;
Ensure that a sound health and safety footprint is transitioned to the surrounding villages through effective communication media;
Foster strong awareness campaigns for improved employee well-being, reduction of Malaria, etc.
Environment:
Promote Environmental initiatives to create strong employee awareness of environmental issue; Deliver a strong message to the surrounding communities that Twigg is putting control measures in place to protect the environment for sustainable livelihoods;
Create awareness of Twigg’s Environmental & Social Management Plan across all levels of the business and community;
Assist in message delivery for the achievement and maintenance of the Integrated Management System.
Education & Experience
Degree in comunication & Strategy; Jornalism; Business & administration or other related subjects;
High level of Computer skills;
Good English and Portugues proficiency;
Good communication skills;
Excellent communication strategy skills;
More than 2 years working as communication officer or superintendent will be an advantage.
