Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor Tempo Inteiro

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertake daily work area inspections and report/ rectify faults/ issues immediately;
• Continually monitor the plant environment to ensure the safety of yourself and other workers;
• Make improvement recommendations to the Senior Team & continually increase the level of safety in plant and other associated facilities;
• Ensure compliance with the Safety & Environmental training of the Maintenance Team to ensure 100% compliance at all times with the required competencies;
• Support the project with technical execution expertise, to ensure critical maintenance considerations are met;
• Ensure efficient execution and control of Maintenance work for the Balama Infrastructure Maintenance teams;
• Work closely with the Electrical Superintendent to achieve the KPIs for site availability and costs;
• Help to develop and maintain the maintenance strategy and tactics for the processing facility to achieve the KPIs and Company objectives;
• Contribute to the development of the preventative asset and maintenance strategy in line with company objectives;
• Monitor both infrastructure plant asset and maintenance performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement;
• Provide ongoing reporting and data analysis in relation to the condition of Infrastructure facility’s;
• Contribute to the weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly maintenance planning process;
• Preparation and contribution to the budgeting process as a part of the maintenance team in relation to parts, consumables and maintenance costs;
• Ensure the Maintenance Team is established and supports the Operation by:
  • Minimising delays through rapid response to breakdown events;
  • Continually monitor the condition of plants and readily address all issues;
  • Ensure that all critical Infrastructure Maintenance is prioritised for maintenance;
• Provide technical advice and support to the Electrical Superintendent as required;
• Complete and follow documentation and records to support all maintenance activities and operations;
• Maintenance Team contractors are managed in accordance with the contractor management requirements;
• Contribute to and help develop quality and accurate Planned Work Schedules;
• Assist in the management and implementation of the Planned Work;
• Ensure safe, timely and reliable execution of work;
• Develop and manage cost saving initiatives that ensure increased availability for the Balama Operations.
• Ensure all work orders are handed back completed with history and comments and any follow up work is captured and communicated to the planning department;
• Assist in the development and implementation of a condition monitoring program;

Qualification and Experience 

• Trade qualification Mechanical/ Electrical; with exposure in refrigeration, pumps, fire system;
• 5 + years maintenance supervisory experience in mineral processing/mining Infrastructure experience highly desirable;
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing preventative maintenance strategies in a processing environment;
• Proven exposure to maintenance systems and processes – Pronto experience essential;
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines;
• Proactiveness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members;
• Plant start-up and commissioning experience highly desirable;
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and competing deadlines;
• Sound computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills;
• Knowledge of fixed plant control systems, PLC’s and HMI;
• Contractor management experience highly desirable;
• Broad experience and flexibility in different trade area’s namely refrigeration, plumbing, civils, SMP.
