Position Title: Short Term Financial Audit

Street Child is a UK based organization working to protect vulnerable children and improve access to education in some of the poorest communities in the world. Established in 2008 to start the work with 100 street connected children in Sierra Leone, we currently work in more than 20 countries across Africa and Asia combining development work and emergency response.
Our work is built around the child development and wellbeing and integrate education, child protection and livelihood. We deliver everything through local partners strengthen their capacity to have stronger civil society and sustainable outcomes.
Street Child in Mozambique has currently implementing “Kick-Off Learning in Mozambique” a multisectoral project in Palma, Mueda, Balama, Mecufi, and Montepuez. Street Child and its partners, under the form of a consortium, provide child protection, MHPSS, education, and livelihoods support to both IDP populations and host communities.
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant or audit firms to express their interest in conducting the final external independent audit of our Swedish Post Code Foundation funded project.
The auditor shall examine the financial report submitted by Street Child to the Foundation under the Project Agreement and express an opinion on whether it agrees in all material respects with the Street Child’s book of accounts and whether the report has been prepared in accordance with the Project Agreement. The auditor shall also examine and certify that the narrative report and the financial report do not obviously contradict each other.
The auditor shall further examine compliance with prevailing laws and regulations. The auditor shall undertake this engagement in accordance with the International Standard on Related Services (“ISRS”) 4400 Engagements to Perform Agreed-Upon Procedures Regarding Financial Information promulgated by the IFAC, and shall perform the following procedures:

The compensation for this Audit will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the selected chartered accountant or firm. The amount of the audit is 600.000,00 MZN and it includes all the costs incurred by the auditors to conduct the audit.
