PSI Mozambique seeks a Training Specialist to support a World Bank-funded initiative under the EMPODERA program, which aims to strengthen GBV service provider capacity across Mozambique through the development and implementation of harmonized, survivor-centered training packages. This position is contingent upon funding approval.

The Training Specialist leads the design and development of differentiated training packages for GBV service providers across health, justice, social services, and CSO sectors. They are responsible for the pedagogical quality of all training materials and for applying participatory, adult learning methodologies, including Training of Trainers (ToT), throughout the assignment.

Principais Responsabilidades

• Lead curriculum design and development of differentiated training packages tailored to the specific needs and contexts of each provider group.
• Apply and adapt active, participatory learning methodologies to diverse audiences, literacy levels, and cultural contexts.
• Develop and adapt operational guides, manuals, and teaching materials for use at national, provincial, district, and community levels.
• Design and implement Training of Trainers (ToT) processes, including supervised replications and follow-up coaching.
• Integrate digital learning tools into training design and delivery where appropriate.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions with diverse participant groups, including government technicians and CSO practitioners.
• Contribute to pilot testing of packages in two provinces and incorporate feedback into the final versions.Lead the production of key deliverables, including the initial diagnosis report, national training plan, and consolidated final report.

Requisitos

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred, in Education Sciences, Pedagogy, Educational Psychology, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in curriculum design, pedagogical methodology development, and training package implementation.
• Demonstrated experience applying ToT methodologies with participatory approaches in development contexts.
• Proven ability to adapt training content to different cultural contexts and literacy levels.
• Mastery of active learning techniques; preparation of manuals, guides, and teaching materials.
• Excellent workshop facilitation skills
• Experience with digital learning platforms an advantage.
• Fluency in Portuguese required; English desirable.
