Founded in 1981, the Mühlbauer Group has grown to a proven one-stop-shop technology partner for the smart card, ePassport, RFID and solar back-end industry. Further business fields are the areas of micro-chip die sorting, carrier tape equipment, as well as automation, marking and traceability systems. Mühlbauer’s Parts&Systems segment produces high precision components. Currently in Mozambique based in Maputo looking for an experienced permanent Chief Accountant to support local projects hence liaising with the headquarter.

The Chief Accountant plans, directs, and conducts accounting activities within the Administration department by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the accounting processes and set up internal control process;
• Handle GL Accounting entries and ledger entries;
• Implementation of monthly statements, annual account and reports;
• Management of cash and payments;
• Liquidity reporting;
• Handling Tax affairs;
• Represent company in front of authorities;
• Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll;
• Supervises and participates in the preparation of financial statements and reports;
• Enters or directs the entry and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures;
• Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records;
• Directs, conducts, and/or participates in cost analyses and rate studies;
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues;
• Review of accounting and administrative controls;
• Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems;
• Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting;
• Reviews financial statements with management personnel;
• Manages the deployment and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.

Job Profile

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws;
• Degree in Accounting and or Finance as well as registered in OCAM;
• Experience with accounting software;
• Good written and spoken English knowledge;
• Good communication skills and reliability complete your profile;
• 7 years’ experience in the same field.
