TJ Consultants is a Human Resources Strategic Consulting company that is head hunting for a Country IT Manager for the Banking Industry.
Responsibilities
The Country IT Manager will report to the Country Subsidiary Chief Operations Officer (dotted line to Head of Group Technology) and will be responsible for Implement the concept of shared infrastructure services to minimize capital expenditure and optimize cost;
Plan and ensure a business continuity and disaster recovery plan exist for the country subsidiary which ensures business continues with minimal impact in the event of disasters;
Adapt and implement the Group’s IT polices and make recommendations of changes based on policies of the region;
Ensure the IT infrastructure is available for business and customer service;
Promptly resolve any customer complaints or difficulties with the use of the IT infrastructure;
Implement stringent change and resource management processes to ensure high systems availability;
Manage corporate budgets to ensure no negative variances year on year;
Ensure cost targets are also met. Institute strong inventory/asset controls for IT equipment. Always engage procurement to negotiate best discounts and prices for the country subsidiary;
Consolidate LFSM Group application architecture in the country subsidiary to the extent of creating productivity leverage for systems construction and a uniform platform for support and standard architecture/environment for hardware, database and network;
Ensure that IT has an ongoing risk assessment process that adequately addresses the effects of changing conditions on the organization;
Ensure that a formalized change management process is followed at all times to ensure that any changes that are made to the IT systems are authorized and in line with the business objectives;
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including regulatory compliance, for allareas that have a direct and material impact on IT systems.
Requisites
Minimum education level –First Degree in computer science, mathematics or related fields, higher degrees/MBA/Professional Certification compulsory;
Least 8 years of experience in IT management in the banking area;
Proven work experience in Banking operations, policies and procedures, Satellite, VSAT,Narrow Band & Broadband Radio Technologies;
Proven work in digital Subscriber Line, ISDN, Basic Rate Interface,OSI Stack Level 1,2,3, 4 & 5 Knowledge, Ms Office Suite including MS Project & Vision, Router & Network Switch- Configuration and Trouble Shooting;
Proven work in transmission and Routing Protocols voice Switching, Voice over IP and GSM / GPRS Technologies;
Proven work in Technical knowledge in Information Technology.
