A RHDC Consultoria & Serviços Lda is a Mozambican Human Resources Consulting Company which offers services such as Recruitment and Selection, Employment Agency, Training and Development, Outsourcing, Competency Development and Temporary Work.

We are recruiting a Public Relations Manager for our client to be based in their offices in Maputo.

Position: PR Manager

Department: Brand Marketing Department

Superior: Director of Brand Marketing / VP for Marketing

Objectives

According to the group brand strategy, formulate effective communication and public relations plan to reach operation objective. Analyse communication cost efficiency to reduce media purchasing cost and increase launching efficiency.

Responsibilities

• To develop and lead the PR communication strategy of the company;
• To develop and maintain a PR calendar for guiding the coordination and execution of annual PR events and activities. The calendar is to include all PR event initiatives, products PR, corporate PR, etc…;
• To develop and maintain relationships with target media (first class and second class of print, TV, radio, online and social media);
• To establish Star Times advocacy group;
• To act as the spokesperson of company to coping with enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations;
• To keep communication with media and encourage them to publish news stories, features and editorials related to Star Times;
• To organize press conferences and media briefings regularly, and make sure that 80% of participant media to product relevant publications/exposures;
• To collect media feedbacks.

Requirements

• 5-8 years’ experience in Public Relations, Communication and Managemen;
• Familiarity with operation mode of broadcasting and TV, media, communication or job experience in Internet Company. It will be priority with Media Strategy and Plan Experience in advertising company;
• More than 5 years of PR management experience. Be good at interpersonal communication and team building;
• Solid experience in Public Relations and communication;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, and English will be work language;
• Bachelor´s Degree in Communication, MBA will be advantageous.
