VACANCY FOR CONSULTANT
The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a South-Korean government agency responsible for implementing grant aid and technical cooperation of the Republic of Korea, in order to support the socioeconomic development of its partner countries. KOICA currently has 45 offices worldwide, including an office in Mozambique established in March 2011.
KOICA is planning to develop a project in the water resources sector and will conduct a preliminary survey. In this regard, KOICA is recruiting a consultant to support the preparation of the study and other activities to ensure smooth implementation of the survey, based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
KOICA Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of local consultant on Flood Forecasting and Early Warning System (FFEWS).
Requisites
• Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Management or related field and 5 years’ work experience. Candidates with Master’s degree should have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience.
• Knowledge of English and Portuguese, fluent in spoken and written English
Duties
• The incumbent will conduct a survey on the activities undertaken by the National Directorate of Water Resources Management (DNGRH) and other donors with regards to FFEWS.
• Travel to the intended project site to conduct a field survey, including providing support to a foreign specialist who will lead the preliminary survey for the project.
• Upon completion of the consultancy, the incumbent shall prepare a final report in English.
• The incumbent will perform other duties as requested by the survey team leader.
